Argentina is Invited to the IFS 2014 for the Second Time!

Hi there, as I told you in the last post Argentina was invited to the IFS 2014.

It was such an honor to be invited to the launching of the exhibition which was hosted by the argentinian Embassador in London, Alicia Castro.

The 16 fashion designers invited to the exhibition were:

I had the opportunity to chat with the designers, Lorena Sosa (handbags and accessories), Gonzalo Villamax (clothing), Chicco Ruiz (shoes), Mariana Landivar (shoes), Kalu Grib (clothing) and all of them were very happy living this amazing experience of showing their products in London and participating in this international contest at the same time.

Argentina es invitado al IFS 2014 por segundo año consecutivo

Hola! como les conte en el post anterior Argentina fue invitada al IFS 2014.

Fue un gran honor ser invitada a la inauguración de la exhibición y que tuvo como anfitriona a la embajadora argentina en londres Alicia Castro.

Tuve la oportunidad de conversar con los diseñadores Lorena sosa (carteras y accesorios), Gonzalo Villamax (Indumentaria) Chicco Ruiz (zapatos) Kalu Grib (Indumentaria) y todos estaban muy felices de vivir esta experiencia , mostrando sus productos en Londres y a la vez participar de una competencia internacional.

International Fashion Showcase 2014

Hi there!It was long time since my last post... but I am back! I visited the International Fashion Showcase 2014 organized by the British Fashion Council and the British Council to support emergents talents around the globe. 
This year around 30 Embassies and 120 fashion designers participated of the exhibition.
This exhibition ( and contest) was organized due to the London Fashion Week at The Strand.
I had the opportunity to see Estonia (winner for second year) China, Paraguay, Philipinas, Qatar and Argentina.

Hola!Paso un largo tiempo desde mi ultimo post, pero estoy de vuelta! Estuve visitando el International Fashion Showcase 2014 exhibición organizada por el British Fashion Council y el British Council, este evento organiza en conjunto con las embajadas de cada país  para apoyar a los talentos emergentes de todo el mundo. 
Este año participaron alrededor de 30 Embajadas y 120 diseñadores.
Esta exhibición (y competencia) se realizo en el marco de la semana de la moda de Londres en la mítica calle The Strand. 

Tuve la oportunidad de visitar algunos stands entre ellos el de Estonia (ganador por segunda vez consecutiva) China, Paraguay Philipinas Qatar y Argentina.

Argentina is invited to the International Fashion Showcase 2013

Hi everyone! Finally I can sit on my desk to write to you , so you can know what I have been up to.

Due to the London Fashion Week the British Council with the british Fashion Council organised a showcase with a competitive angle, to promote young emerging talent, and one of the countries invited to participate was Argentina.

My country was represented for the following designers:

Santiago Artemis
Julia Shang Vitón
Dubié
Santos Liendro
Maricel Nowacki
Julieta Mansilla Patricia Marazina

In another post I will tell you more about this young designers that the curator Miranda Castro has chosen.

The International Fashion Showcase 2013 is a parallel to the Olympics for the young creative talent, where 24 countries participated and Argentina was one of the 6 finalists.

The exhibition was from the 11th of February until 8th of March at the British Council Gallery, very close to Trafalgar Square.

On the first day of the exhibition there was an opening ceremony with the participation of the Argentine Ambassador in the UK,  Alicia Castro and the international media.

It was very exciting for me, to see argentinian design in London, the colours and the fabrics which characterised my country, and the knitwear typical of the north, where I am from.

Hola! tanto tiempo! Finalmente puedo sentarme a escribir donde estuve la últimas semanas.

Con motivo de la Fashion Week de Londres , el British Council junto al British Fashion Council organizaron una competencia entre diferentes países para promover el joven talento emergente, entre los que Argentina estuvo invitado a participar.

Mi país fue representado por los siguientes diseñadores:

En otro post les cuento más en detalle sobre cada uno de los diseñadores que fueron elegidos por la curadora Miranda Castro.

El International Fashion Showcase , sería como el equivalente a la Olímpiadas del diseño, donde participaron 24 países y entre los cuales Argentina quedo seleccionada entre los 6 finalistas.

La exhibición se llevó a cabo entre el 8 de Febrero y el 11 de Marzo en la British Council Gallery muy cerca de Trafalgar Square.

El primer día de la exhibición se realizó una ceremonia de apertura en la cual participaron la Embajadora de Argentina en Gran Bretaña, Alicia Castro; y los medios de la prensa internacional.

Les cuento que para mí fue muy emocionante ver diseño argentino en Londres, ver los colores y materiales que caracterizan a mi país, sobre todo los tejidos del norte, de donde soy.

Merry Christmas!

 Hi Everybody!

 I hope you are still eating Christmas pudding ,wearing a horrible Christmas jumper,drinking and open more and more presents...

 Here some photos from the night before Christmas Eve, I went around Covent Garden and Westminster  with my new, very warm, russian hat(which I love). 

 It was an amazing evening with my love, you could feel the Christmas Spirit !

Me imagino que todavia estan comiendo lo que quedo de la cena de Nochebuena ya abrieron los regalitos y estan recuperandose del brindis de anoche...

Aqui les dejo algunas fotos de la noche anterior a Nochebuena, estuve por Covent Garden y Westminster ( Big Ben) con mi nuevo y muy abrigado, sombrerito ruso( al que amo).

Fue una noche hermosa la que comparti con mi amor, uno podía sentir el espíritu Navideño entre la gente!
