 Here some photos from the night before Christmas Eve, I went around Covent Garden and Westminster  with my new, very warm, russian hat(which I love). 

 It was an amazing evening with my love, you could feel the Christmas Spirit !

Me imagino que todavia estan comiendo lo que quedo de la cena de Nochebuena ya abrieron los regalitos y estan recuperandose del brindis de anoche...

Aqui les dejo algunas fotos de la noche anterior a Nochebuena, estuve por Covent Garden y Westminster ( Big Ben) con mi nuevo y muy abrigado, sombrerito ruso( al que amo).

Fue una noche hermosa la que comparti con mi amor, uno podía sentir el espíritu Navideño entre la gente!

Charity shops in London

Hi there, I promised you guys a list of charity shops last week... Well I managed to visit seven (I don't have very much time lately, between my new job, studying, social life and a husband, Londoners must know... it is dificult to find time in this city!!!) and I chose my favourite three to show to you.

Firstly, I will try to explain what a charity shop is, because when I came from Argentina, I didn't know, (And I still don't know if it is a concept just from the UK) so for people like me, that don't know what charity shops mean, this is the explanation: they are boutiques filled with high street and designer clothes, accesories, shoes and hats but these are donations that people bring and these boutiques sell for a few pounds (like half of the full price at least) to help raise money for different charity organisations... so now you know! If you go to a charity shop, you can help and be stylish at the same time! Great idea...

This is my top list

1. Oxfam Kings Road Store - Map
Beautiful small and organized shop a few metres off the King's Road, with designer clothes, shoes and accessories where I met Biba, a great sales adviser, on Saturday afternoon.


2. Octavia Foundation Kings Road - Map
I went to this charity shop on a Tuesday evening, sorry I don't have a photo because it started to pour down... but it has a big range of clothing, I recommend to have a look at the coat section, big range, really good brands and all in excellent condition. Plus shoes, accessories and house decorations!

3. Barnardo's Corner - Map
I visited this massive shop in Brixton, very clean and organised with wonderful customer service, although it doesn't have a fitting room... it is the cheapest I have ever visited and has a mix of high street and designer clothes and a big range of jeans, books and old vinyls for music lovers.

Hola, les prometí una lista de charity shops la semana pasada... Pude visitar (últimamente no tengo mucho tiempo, entre mi nuevo trabajo, estudio, vida social y mi marido, los londinenses deben saber... es difícil tener tiempo en esta ciudad!!!) y elegí mis tres favoritos para mostrarte.

Primero, voy a tratar de explicar que es un "charity shop", porque cuando vine de Argentina no sabia lo que era ( y todavía no se si es solo un concepto de Gran Bretaña) por lo tanto, para la gente que como yo no sabe que es un charity shop, aqui va la explicación : es una boutique con high street y ropa de diseñador, accesorios, zapatos y sombreros, donaciones que la gente trae y estas boutiques venden por unas pocas libras ( al menos a mitad del precio real) para ayudar a recaudar dinero para colaborar con diferentes organizaciones de caridad. Ahora sabes! si vas a un charity shop podes colaborar y producirte al mismo tiempo! Buena idea...

Esta es mi lista definitiva.

1. Oxfam Kings Road Store ( ver mapa adjunto arriba en el post en ingles)
Es una hermosa, pequeña y organizada boutique a poco metros de la conocida King's Road en Chelsea, donde podes encontrar , ropa de diseñador, zapatos y accesorios,  allí  conocí a Biba un sábado a la tarde, es una de las chicas encargadas del local.

2. Octavia Foundation Kings Road ( ver mapa adjunto )
Fuí a este charity un martes a la noche, no tengo fotos del lugar porque esta lloviendo muchísimo... pero vale la pena visitar, tiene una gran variedad de indumentaria, recomiendo ver la seccion de abrigos, todos de muy buenas marcas y en excelente condiciones. Mas zapatos, accesorios y decoraciones para el hogar!

3. Barnardo's Corner ( ver mapa adjunto)
Visité este enorme local en el barrio de Brixton, muy limpio y organizado con una espectacular atención al cliente pero, no tiene un probador...es el mas barato que visite hasta ahora y tiene un mix de high street y ropa de diseñador, además de una gran variedad de jeans, libros y discos para los amantes de la musica.

I'm still working on the Charity shop list but while I do that I will post a photo with a dress which I found in one of them.

This is my look for this cold Tuesday afternoon. I choose this dress because it has a polo neck, one of the trends of this season, very popular in the 60's and now it is back.

Todavia estoy trabajando en la lista de los Charity shops pero mientras voy a subir una foto con el vestido que encontre en uno de ellos.
Este es mi look para esta fría tarde de martes. Elegi este vestido porque es muy actual, lleva una de la tendencias de este invierno el cuello tortuga (o polera) muy usado en los 60' y ahora esta de vuelta.

Vintage Style

 When I came to London I discovered the vintage style and ... I love it!
 I love going around the charity shops and trying to discover a treasure or a bargain. In a vintage shop you can find high street or designer clothes just for a few pounds. But some vintage shops are pretty expensive as well... I did a  vintage style photoshoot a couple of months ago, and I had the possibility to wear clothes from the 20s and 30s, but my favourite was a gown from the 1850s that was amazing!... I will post some of the photos to share with you.

  Cuando llegue a Londres descubri el estilo vintage y ... me encanta!
 Me encanta ir a los "charity shops" y tratar de descubrir un tesoro o una ganga. en un vintage shop podes encontrar "high street" o indumentaria de disenador  por unas libras. Pero algunos vintage shops son muy caros... Hice una sesion de fotos hace un par de meses y tuve la posibilidad de vestirme con ropa vintage de los anios 20' y 30',  pero mi vestido favorito fue uno del anos 1850 increible! ... Voy a subir algunas de las fotos asi las comparto con ustedes.

The Little Black Jacket

My friend Juan from Argentina came to visit London like every year and we have a kind of ritual, we go to a museum or gallery and then to have tea, very british style. So this time we planned to go to the Saatchi gallery to see the photo exhibition by Karl Lagerfeld, "The Little Black Jacket- Chanel exhibition" a masterpiece by Mr Lagerfeld.  There were a lot of very stylish people around and it was a great atmosphere. 

Mi amigo Juan vino de Argentina a visitar Londres como todos los años tenemos un tipo de ritual, vamos a algun museo o galería de arte y despues a tomar el té al mejor estilo británico. Asi que esta vez fuimos a la Saatchi Gallery a ver la exposición realizada por Karl Lagerfeld, "The Little Black Jacket- Chanel exhibition", gran trabajo del Señor Lagerfeld, mucha gente muy producida, muy lindo.

It was my first time at the Saatchi Gallery, it was a bit dark but "The Little Black Jacket" was great.  I posted some of the pictures but one of my favourites is the photo of Ana Wintour's back, yes literally it is a photo of her back... Unfortunately as I mentioned, it was dark and flash photography wasn't allowed so it's not good enough quality to upload.  Juan and I enjoyed it very much, it was grreat fun, and then (the next day) we went for some tea in the restaurant at the top of the National Portrait Gallery: great tea, service and an awesome view!

Fue la primera vez que visito la Saatchi Gallery, estaba un poco oscuro pero estuvo muy bueno. Puse algunas fotos que tome, aunque mi favorita es la foto de la espalda de Anna Wintour, si literalmente es la foto de su espalda... Desafortunadamente como ya mencioné, estaba oscuro y el flash no se permite en estos lugares asi que la foto que saqué no es de buena calidad para subirla.  Juan y yo la pasamos genial, nos divertimos mucho y después (al otro día) fuimos a tomar el té al restaurant que está en el último piso de otro museo, el National Portrait Gallery, muy bueno el té, el servicio y la vista es impresionante!

LONDON FASHION WEEK SS13

 Hola! Despues de un tiempo de ausencia ,volví al ruedo. Es cierto que ya paso un tiempo desde el London Fashion Week Otono-Invierno 2013/14, pero no queria dejar de mostrarles algunas de las fotos que saque cuando estuve por ahí. Tengo muchas mas pero es imposible subir todas asi que elegi estos tres Street styles, espero les guste!
 Hello! After a long absence, I returned to the ring. I know it has been a month already since, the London Fashion Week Autumn-Winter 2013/14, but I would love to show you some of the photos I took when I was out there. I have many more but it is impossible so I picked up three Street styles, hope you like it!

Jubilee Weekend

 Hola everyone!

 Como ya sabrán , el fin de semana pasado se celebró en todo el  Reino Unido el aniversario de Diamante de la Reina Elizabeth , además de todos los festejos que vimos en televisión, (los que desafiaron al clima estuvieron viviendo las celebraciones en vivo y en directo)  se hicieron innumerables "street parties" en los diferentes barrios, donde todos los vecinos y amigos se encontraron para celebrar y brindar en honor a la Reina.
 La mayoria de los invitados eligieron los colores de la bandera britanica para vestirse, es decir riguroso hubo un "dress code" azul, rojo y blanco.
 Este es el caso de Nicki a quien conocí en una de estas reuniones, en la cual ademas del dress code patriótico debias vestirte en un estilo de la década del 50, en la que Elizabeth fue coronada.
 Nicki me contó que ella misma hizo el vestido,(con sus propias manos, no es increíble?) le tomó unos cuantos días y horas a la noche hacerlo pero está muy contenta con el resultado. El género que utilizó es de un cubrecama( si como lo leíste) ya que necesitaba muchos metros y el tipo de bandera es de un estampado"pattern" muy utilizado en la época de los 50.
 Nicki es muy creativa, llevó orgullosa su creación, y fue, sin duda el comentario de la fiesta.
